Senior School

In Years Eleven and Twelve French is offered at GCSE level. Pupils who choose French at this level will also sit a GOML exam at Level Four in Year Eleven.

French Trip 2007

Where possible the department offers all pupils the chance to participate in a French trip.

This year we have thirty pupils and four staff who travelled to Normandy in France for a taste of French life and culture. The group left on Sunday 21st October and returned on Friday 26th October.

Pupils taking part are from all year groups and are all at different levels in their language learning. We stay at the Chateau Du Molay in Le Molay  Littry and have a variety of exciting activities planned for our three days.

Among other things, we spent a day shopping and sightseeing at the Mont St. Michel, visited the Bayeux Tapestry and some D-Day landing beaches and WW1 cemeteries, as well we visited a goat farm and looked at the process involved in making goat's cheese. In the evening there was cycling, swimming and other organised activities at the hotel.
