Brownlow Integrated College received a welcome boost from Rushmere Shopping Centre with a donation of £250 for the Soccer Festival it is organising for local Primary Schools on Wednesday 14th May.
Martin Walsh, Rushmere's newly appointed Centre Manager, said: "We are always keen to support local sports talent and encourage young people to be active so we are delighted to be able to help Brownlow Integrated College in their first ever Soccer Festival."
The Year 11 GCSE PE pupils have organised the Soccer Festival as part of a sports leadership programme, 'Top Link', through Youth Sports Trust, Northern Ireland. Thirteen Primary Schools are taking part in the Festival and it will take place at Craigavon Leisure Centre. It is the first time this group of pupils at Brownlow Integrated College will be taking part in this scheme with the aid of their PE teachers.
The festival will begin at 10am and concludes at 1pm with the presentation of cups and medals to winning teams.
