INTEGRATION in Brownlow Integrated College

Brownlow Integrated College believes in integration in practice. It is a core aim of the school community to make every effort to take the fear out of differences, celebrate the diversity within the staff and pupil body and employ such variety as a positive resource.

The plurality of the communities which make up the Borough of Craigavon is reflected at any given time in our school population. Integration for us means all communities, all nationalities, all abilities and all socio-economic backgrounds working and learning together. We will continue our efforts to create an inclusive school.

We prefer the term integrating school because it emphasises the need to self-evaluate every day. The staff and pupils recognise the need to ask the question: Are there other ideas we can try to make Brownlow Integrated College even more inclusive and unique? A tangible expression of this self evaluation is the existence of the staff Integration committee which explores new ways to celebrate the diversity of faith and cultural identities within the school community.
